I wanted to place my dry box under my printer, and didn't like the idea of mounting straight filament guides in the box's cover, so I created these angled filament guides.

Due to the angle, these guides have been designed to work best with boxes with a 1.5mm wall thickness, such as the 7.5gal/28L Sterlite Modular Stacker container.

The guides are intended to be modular, with the ability to easily swap out inserts for different filament sizes or PTFE tube attachment options. I've included inserts for the following:

* PC4-M6 fitting for 4mm PTFE tubing and 1.75mm filament.
* PC4-M10 fitting for 4mm PTFE tubing and 1.75mm filament.. This version permits the tubing to pass completely through the insert into the dry box. (added 2019-01-13)
* PC6-02 fitting for 6mm PTFE tubing. This permits the tubing to pass through the fitting and into the dry box. Should be usable with either 1.75mm or 3mm filament. (added 2019-01-13)

I may create additional inserts in the future if I have a need, or there's a demand for another option.

Each guide requires the following for attachment to the box:
2 - M3 x 10 bolt (any length between 8mm and 12mm should be fine)
2 - M3 nut
2 - M3 washer

I drilled the M3 bolt holes first and attached the two pieces of the frame to the box. The frame can then be used as a drill guide for drilling the angled hole through the box.

TIP: Using a block of wood as a support on the opposite side while drilling the M3 holes will help reduce…
