Amazon Basics / Overture Filament Spool Box (Legacy Style)
Have us print this for you
PLA from £6 inc. UK delivery on letter-sized prints. We slice, print on a calibrated Creality K2 / Bambu A1, QC and post.
*Heads up! This is for the old-style filament spools. They changed them.*
An environmentally responsible way to make use of your used filament spools. This is not my original idea as there are plenty of these already shared, but this one is unique in that it **fits the Amazon Basics and Overture filament spools** (and maybe others).
No drilling or hardware is required. The boxes click in to the existing holes on the spool. 3 boxes per spool.
To assemble, simply insert both Connector Pegs into the top and bottom of the box, then click into the existing holes in the empty spool. You can then stack as many spools as you want using the Vertical Extender parts. When stacking, you'll want to alternate which holes you click the boxes into so that they stack without a gap.

UPDATE 2020-05-27: New version v2. Connector Peg is no longer threaded (easier to print)
UPDATE 2020-05-26: Fixed problem with divider slots
UPDATE 2020-04-27: Added stl for box with removable divider and stl for divider
UPDATE 2020-01-31: Added stl for a box without a divider
UPDATE 2018-12-01: Added vertical extender parts to stack multiple spools

**NOTES**
Print the **Box** at 100% scaling for a tight fit in the spool (some force required to close and open each compartment, creating a natural "locking" mechanism). Or print at 99% scaling for a loose fit (compartment will swing open with very little force, such as gravity). Make sure you adjust the scale of the other parts…
