Handgun History
A 3D Tour
This project began as a test for a new 3D printer. It ballooned into something more. Here is a collection of 3D models and prints that trace the history of handguns. There are 51 total.
Included in the library is a brief summary description of each. This description also can be found on-line at:
http://danlovy.com/3D/3D_HandGun_History.pdf
I also include a model source sheet.

Also a version on Midium:

I found that the very physical and tactile aspects of creating a 3D print creates an understanding of a subject beyond what you can get visually or by reading.
I learned a lot and improved my printing skills. They are all printed at .318 scale.
Please comment on this. I am interested in any feedback.
Below is the full list of models in the collection as well as their original sources. They are all free except for one. The problem with collecting is that you can occasionally get obsessed and I HAD TO HAVE #2. Philadelphia Deringer.
