Wanted to make my own version of the octopus with the chain-linked tentacles with longer tentacles and a somewhat more realistic body. Thanks to McGybeer for the idea and Ellindsey for the octopus body.
The pieces at the end of the tentacles get pretty small. I may make an alternate version with a couple fewer links.
Update -
ya-octopus-v5b.stl - Reworked the model to arrange the tentacles for more compact design. Also tried to arrange the tentacles more carefully to avoid overlap.
ya-octopus-v5a.stl - Reworked the model to flatten the bottom of the tentacle segments so that printing works better. I've printed this one successfully in PLA without brim.
YA-octopus-v3.stl - I reworked the model so the segments at the ends of the tentacles are not so small. (linkage is stronger)
