PLA from £6 inc. UK delivery on letter-sized prints. We slice, print on a calibrated Creality K2 / Bambu A1, QC and post.

Small modular hydroponic tower, I designed it for my desktop.

All the pieces snap together without the need for glue or screws. All pieces have bene printed without supports (orientation on the printing plate should be intuitive).

I have designed it in order to maximize the space occupied by the pots inside the tower.

I am currently growing basil with it.

Some cheap external components are needed.

-> 12V power supply : https://shorturl.at/jLOS3
-> 8mm internal diameter silicone tube: https://shorturl.at/fADY3
-> IKEA Nypon 12cm plant vase: https://shorturl.at/gvF13

Total cost should be around 10$

I have included the STL of the IKEA pot used if you want to print it, but I strongly recommend to buy the IKEA one if you have access to It as it is very cheap, sturdy and WATER RESISTANT (not like PLA...).

Fertilizer and PH control additives should be used as in every hydroponic system.

PS:
Personally, I do not run the pump constantly.
In fact, with the help of an ESP8266 (but whatever Arduino/ESP32 you have is fine) and a couple of relays I run the pump for one minute every 15, and I also turn on and off some LED growing lights. The code is very simple and, even if it is pretty straightforward to understand, it must be adapted to your own setup (n° of output pins, presence of a screen etc).
You can find the arduino code in the folder, use it if you want as an example. If you manage to implement a better…
