This OpenSCAD model creates a small printable LED holder with a separate retaining ring. The LED is inserted from the rear; its base flange snaps into an internal catch groove inside the socket. The front lens protrusion can be tuned by moving the flange groove position. The outside of the holder has a chamfered groove for a simple sliding retaining ring.

The holder has rounded spring-slot ends to reduce stress when the LED snaps in. The included cutaway render mode helps inspect the internal catch groove and LED position before printing.
Print notes:
- Print the holder with the front face on the bed.
- Print the retaining ring flat.
- Recommended material: TPU, because the flexible snap areas are less likely to break when the LED is pressed in.
- Start with about 0.20 mm clearance.
- Test with the actual LED, because LED flange dimensions vary between manufacturers.
