It's a tight fit, but it works.
This isn't a pretty insert like many others, but it'll get everything Deep Regrets into the base game box, including Shallow Regrets, with no lid lift, or just a mm or so thanks to Shallow Regrets. Tolerances aren't too bad, except on the two 'Deep Depths' pieces. You may have to play around with the size on them by a mm or less. You do have to pack the dice and other wooden pieces in carefully. Walls & especially floors are thin & will benefit from multiple thin layers to give more strength.
Rod, Reel & Supply cards go in the last of the 'Deep depths' trays. Ambulance, Lifeboat, Can of Worms, Nightcrawlers, Player Aid, Bad Fish and Biggest Regrets go in 'misc'. Dinks & Regrets all go together. All river & loch cards go in the 'River & loch' tray, surprisingly,
And, no, before anyone asks, it will not fit sleeved cards...
