This is a remix of magonegro's excellent OpenSCAD coin dispenser. His was for Euro's, but I wanted one for British Pounds - and importantly I wanted to re-use a spring which I salvage from Dexcom CGM's (Continuous Glucose Monitor). It is fairly easy to open the CGM insertion tool - and you can salvage two springs, plus a nice little neodymium magnet.
For this project, you need the smaller spring which is 50mm in length and 23.6mm in Diameter. Perfect for this project.
You will also need a couple of M3 machine screws to keep it together.
Print everything - the tube will need a little bit of support, insert the follower with the closed side to the top, then insert the spring, and finally the bottom. Line up the holes and insert the M3 screws to keep it all together. The spring pressure is enough to keep the screws in place. I suppose you could glue it shut if you prefer.
This dispenser holds about 10 (maybe more) £1 coins. I didn't have enough to test how many it holds.
