I created this stand to be compatible with these LED aluminum diffuser mounts you can find here: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B094XYNS78?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title. For this project you will need the following.
LED strip lights
Wifi LED controller compatible with your strips (optional)
Power supply (Either 5v, 12v, or 24v depending on the strips you use.
I used cheap 5050 4pin RGB strips that take 12 volts. The Wifi controller I used is this one: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07QQXM4VT?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1. This allows me to control the lights over wifi using my amazon echo but it is also compatible with google home and other IOT devices.
Ultimately this will allow you to create your own vertical lamps, and the diffuser mounts are pretty cheap as you can get 33 feet for 26$ USD. You could use addressable strips if you want to as well, but they are more expense. I am using cheap strips that I found at goodwill which I got 100ft for 2$. I was able to fit 2 rows of strips in the diffuser channel which were offset to minimize the hot spots.
For the print, I created channels under the stand to run wires through, but there is enough space for you to "add a negative part" in your slicer if you need more space to fit your wires or other components under the foundation.
