I made this model because the keyhole on the helmet lock of my nt650 does not have a shutter over the hole. I'm not sure if they had one from the factory, I assume so, but this bike is almost 40 years old now so it's likely it was broken off a long time ago. Because the lock sits low and by the rear tire, I wanted something that would keep road grime and water out of the keyhole. Even if you do have an intact shutter, this might be a good idea to protect that lock.

This is a one piece model meant to be printed in flexible filament like TPU. I used black because it's what I had, but silver would blend in more. I might reprint if I ever need to buy silver TPU.

I printed with the loop and tether on the build plate, which will require supports for the inside of the cap (I used tree supports). I suppose you could flip it and support the tether and loop instead. I'm not sure which would be better, but either way you'll use very little material.

Slip the loop over the lock body, then put the cap on. The tether will maintain it's bent shape after being on the bike for a day, as long as you don't use too many wall loops or too much infill.

I printed with 2 wall loops and 15% infill.

Enjoy!
