A simple 3D printed water dispenser base for land tortoises and small animals.
This design works with a standard 1 liter bottle screwed upside down into the central threaded mount. The water flows into the shallow circular tray, keeping a small amount of water available for the animal.
The base has a low profile, a raised outer rim and a central bottle connector with a side opening for water flow. It is designed to be easy to print, easy to clean and simple to refill.
Recommended use:
Fill the bottle with clean water, screw it into the base, then place the dispenser on a flat surface inside the enclosure.
Printing notes:
Print in a waterproof or food safe material if possible.
Use enough walls and top/bottom layers to make the part watertight.
PETG is recommended over PLA for better water resistance.
Check that the printed part is watertight before leaving it with animals.
Clean regularly.
