) is one of the most affordable color epaper panels right now. The [IKEA RÖDALM 13x18cm frame](https://www.ikea.com/nl/en/p/rodalm-frame-oak-effect-10566390/) is a cheap shadowbox frame that not only fits the 7.3" Spectra6 panel, but also has enough room to hold a driver board and battery inside its box.
This adapter makes it easy to mount a Seeed Spectra6 7.3" panel into an IKEA 13x18cm RÖDALM, centering the asymmetric panel vertically. The panel drops into the front, and the cutout at the bottom makes it easy for the ribbon cable to fold back behind the 3D-printed adapter. Using the stock spacer from the frame, you have enough room for a board and battery to fit behind the adapter. Please note: this is for the European version of the RÖDALM - other continents may have different dimensions and would not fit this adapter.
Combine this with a compatible board, like the Seeed [EN04](https://www.seeedstudio.com/XIAO-ePaper-Display-Board-nRF52840-EN04-p-6589.html) or [EE04](https://www.seeedstudio.com/XIAO-ePaper-Display-Board-EE04-p-6560.html) for example, and a suitable LiPo battery, and this is one of the cheapest stand-alone color epaper builds you can create right now.
