Behold, one of the most basic upgrades you can make to your Bambu P1S- a bucket that just sits there and collects the waste strands from filament changes.
Ideal for environments in which the printer is sandwiched up against a wall and does not need any pesky fancy magnets to exist- it just sits behind your printer until removed.
I thought about doing a whole thing with a lead screw and 2 linear ball rails so you could just pull it towards you remove it and then reinstall it, but I remembered what an old maintenance guy told me- "KISS: Keep it simple, stupid!"
It probably would have been cooler to do it that way but unfortunately the power cable gets in the way too much to justify doing it.
The average user who uses their printer once a day will likely fill the bucket in about 3 months. At which point you empty it and throw it back there again.
The box width is exactly 56 mm so it will give your printer a 56mm gap against the wall for optimal wall sandwiching offset creationism. yea
I got really tired of picking up the filament strands from the little forsaken area between my desk and the wall.
