While waiting for the Kayoumini frame to be back in stock, I decided to customize a cheap Angel25 frame from AliExpress.
The camera mounts and battery straps are remixes adapted to fit the modified frame, while the antenna mount and motor guards are fully custom designs.
You will need to cut the front section of the top plate (see image). The cut does not need to be perfectly precise, but some test fitting will be necessary.
You’ll also need to shorten the original 20mm standoffs included with the frame, or replace them with 15mm standoffs. I included the cylindrical cutting jig I used to trim mine.
In my opinion, the ends of the arms on this frame are the weakest part of the design and a major flaw. I haven’t broken them yet, but they seem quite fragile and will probably be the first point of failure in a hard crash.
Because of this weakness, I can’t fully recommend doing this mod unless you already have the frame lying around and just want to experiment like I did.
