I designed this to replace a friends part for his Samsung fridge. Measurements were taken from the OE part. His fridge had an issue where the freezer would be working fine but the fridge was getting too warm. This attaches to a servo motor somewhere in the fridge. The recessed box area of the original part had a foam piece glued there to help seal it but the foam might not be entirely necessary. Without it the fridge might only lose a bit of efficiency and possibly get a bit colder.
