I wanted to add grommets to 12 curtains so I created this template to make it easier to align the grommets. This designed for 36” wide curtains with standard 1-9/16” (40mm) curtain grommets. This can be used to 6 equally spaced grmmets to 36” curtains, or 8 equally spaced grommets to 48” curtains, any other size will require some scaling.
The inner hole is actually 51mm as that’s the actual diameter for the grommets (which are technically 43mm ID at smallest, not 40mm).
