Disclamer:
- The insert is slightly too tight for the phone, so I had to sand off about 1-2mm.
After doing this, the phone fits perfectly, preventing it from falling out even when held upside down.
- I didn't shorten the long plates in the addon files. The length should be 1.5 cm/0.6inch. (See last image)
They are intended to prevent the phone (with case) from falling out, but are difficult to glue on securely and may come loose over time.
I only epoxy-glued the left side, and after several months of use, it’s still holding up well and remains sturdy.
- The ventilation isn't perfect, but with a little fan, it can keep the phone at a reasonable temperature.
I've also included a version without the ventilations.
Why I Didn’t Further Improve the Fit:
- My Fusion 360 installation is broken. The program only works once after installation. The second time I try to open it, it freezes on the startup screen.
Because of this, I have to reinstall the app every time I want to use it...
- Additionally, I don't own a printer. I have to let my friend print the parts and pick them up. Thus it's a hassle to do the fine adjustments and prototypes.
Note to my Remix:
- I used the files from Suou, but I changed the location of the top and bottom splits (to fit the camera cutouts)
- Additionally, the entire assembly is wider.
