Broken Glasses' Nose Pad - "Missing or Extraneous Surfaces" Fix (Remix)
Look, being a supermodel isn't always glitz and glamour. Honestly, it’s exhausting. Everywhere I go, women are chasing me down the street, and a guy just needs some peace, quiet, and a coffee without being swarmed.
So, I came up with a brilliant camouflage strategy to make myself just a little bit less attractive: I intentionally ripped the nose pad holder right off my glasses. Perfect, right? A little asymmetry to tone down the perfection.
The plan worked a bit too well, and eventually, I actually needed to see straight again. I found the great nose pad model by mrjkd 1, which was exactly what I needed to patch my frames back together. However, when I threw it into my slicer, I hit a wall. The software kept throwing a frustrating error:
“Model has missing or extraneous surfaces.”
Because of the non-manifold geometry, it just wouldn't print cleanly.
Since I couldn't use it as-is, I took the original file into my modeling software, cleaned up the messy topology, patched the missing faces, and completely eliminated those pesky extraneous surfaces.
This is a fully repaired, 100% printable remake of mrjkd 1's design. If your nose pad holder broke off—whether by accident or because you’re also trying to hide from an army of adoring fans—this file will now slice flawlessly.
