Little heads-up: the hex hole on the screw grip thing and the holes for the 18650s are a bit oversized. I fixed the cells in place with a dab of hot glue.
And also:In no event shall I be liable for any direct, indirect, punitive, incidental, special, consequential damages, to property or life,
whatsoever arising out of or connected with this project.

Ive bought a heavily used A7 a few months ago (still a great camera) and had big issues with the battery that came with it.
The battery was probably the original one and if the looks of this camera are anything to go by, it has seen some use.
I didnt like the idea of buying a new battery, as the camera is said to be very inefficient and the batteries are tiny for a full frame flagship.

So i cracked open the original battery, desoldered the two cells and soldered on some old 18650
with more than 2x the capacity of the original cells. After successfully testing this setup for a few months
with a very crude printed case i finally designed a proper grip to house the new cells.
