A prototype basic design I used before going on to create more advanced model train models.
This stock car is based on a few model prototypes, including the MDC/Roundhouse kit and the Mehano shorty stock cars. I was aiming for recreating somewhat of a Colorado & Southern car before I found actual photos of the car I wanted to make.
Includes 2 pieces, a floor and a body. The floor is setup with holes to be tapped at 2-56 for the coupler boxes and trucks. the truss rods can be added by running some string through the holes in the floor and then across the queenposts on the bottom. A piece of .20 wire can be used for the brake wheel when you get to that part of the kit.
Add some weight, trucks, couplers, paint, and you've got yourself a neat little late 19th, early 20th century generic stock car.
I successfully printed both the body and underframe on an Elegoo Mars with good results. A friend has also printed this on an FDM printer and I was impressed with his outcome.
