The original plastic surround of my 2CV's side mirror had become brittle and no longer held the mirror glass securely. I used the profile of the old surround as a template to design a new frame, which I then printed using TPU filament (Shore 95A). Reinstalling the mirror glass with the new surround into the mirror housing was a bit fiddly, but it was well worth the effort.
