I designed a form-fit, direct-fit focuser plate for the CYCK Focuser V2 (Cherry Red version with side bearings). This adapter allows a QHY Q-Focuser EAF to be mounted in the most direct — and, more importantly, the straightest — possible rotational path. The design minimizes shaft wobble as much as possible, helping reduce backlash during focusing operations for smoother and more accurate performance.
Printing Recommendations
I printed this part on a Bambu Lab P1S using PETG filament with a 35% sparse infill density.
Print Settings:
Nozzle Temperature: 285°C
Build Plate Temperature: 80°C
Cooling settings: See attached images for reference.
Bed Adhesion Tip
If you experience bed adhesion issues, I recommend using Elmer’s Purple Glue Stick (roll-on version). Apply a light, even coat to the build plate, then gently spread it with your fingers to ensure uniform coverage. A thin, smooth layer works best — avoid overapplying the glue. This method has worked extremely well for me.
