Tesla Model Y & 3 phone ball mount for the screen - v2 no tape

This is a re-design of my screen ball mount that was posted here https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:7222368. I didn't like the fact that the original version required double sided tape to hold it on the screen and also found that the tape would come loose when the interior of the car got hot.

Similar to the original, this mount has a hook that goes over the top edge of the screen but I added straps that go across the back of the screen to hold it so that no tape is required. The strap has male and female pieces that fit together to make a long strap which fits into a slot on the back of the center mount. I did a test fit and then glued all three pieces together. Note that the fit is very tight (as it needs to be). The way that I got the fully assembled unit on the screen was to slide it down the back. In other words, start from the top and engage both side hooks on the screen and work each one down until the top hook of the center mount engages on the top of the screen. It takes a bit of force but it will slide down.

I've included versions for a 15mm or 17mm ball and any Magsafe charger that mounts on those ball sizes should work. You could probably print this flat, but I printed it in the orientation shown and used supports because I thought the ball extension would be stronger in that orientation. Obviously print in something that will withstand the interior heat of a car (not PLA).

Please note - I made this for our 2023 Tesla Model Y. I believe it would fit any Model Y…
