About this print
A compact lathe designed to be printed entirely in plastic, intended for light machining of soft materials on the hobbyist bench. Mini lathes of this type are used for turning and shaping small workpieces. The design is suited to makers who want to build their own machine tools from printed parts. PETG suits this build well, as its improved toughness compared to PLA helps moving parts withstand the repetitive loads involved in hobby turning.

I'm doing a little lathe for plastics. This is a work in progress and I will publish files and images when it is completed.
Hey! This thing is still a Work in Progress. Files, instructions, and other stuff might change!
I'll add when I print out the newer versions. Observe what is going on. Be patient!

Printing Mini 3D printed Lathe
For Mini 3D printed Lathe we would normally reach for PETG — it is tougher and more heat-resistant than PLA, ideal for parts that take load or live somewhere warm. We set the layer height, wall count, infill and supports to suit the model and how you will use it, and those choices are already priced into your instant quote. Want a specific colour or material? Tell us and we will match it where we can.
