It’s a community file from its original creator, and now and then a file has a fault that only shows up when we print it, such as walls that are too thin or parts that don’t join properly. If that happens we’ll let you know and try to fix the file, which can add a day or two. If we can’t get a good print from it, we’ll refund you in full.

Good to know before you order

TPU has a £11.50 print-order minimum. ABS, ASA, PC, Nylon and PETG-CF have a £46 minimum; PA-CF has a £69 minimum. Delivery is shown separately in your cart.

About this print

A combined fan duct and mount that fits a 30mm hotend cooling fan alongside a 5015 blower for part cooling, intended for printers using an E3D V6 hotend. The design is based on the Prusa i3 MK2 fan assembly and is adaptable to other machines using the same hotend. Two variants are available, one held with a cable tie and one fixed with an M3 bolt. PETG is the recommended material, as the duct sits close to the hotend and needs to tolerate elevated temperatures.

--UPDATE-- there are 2 versions now; the original one which uses a ziptie, and now also one with an M3 bolt for a more secure and permanent grip on the hot-end.

Based on and remixed from the new Prusa i3 MK2.

I really liked the compact design of the fan duct from the new prusa i3 MK2, so I remixed it so it can be used on almost any printer with an E3D V6.

The E3D fan is the stock 30mm fan that comes with the E3D.
The layer fan is a 5015S 12V Blower, you can buy these almost anywhere if you don't have it laying around already.

Formatting may have been simplified. These are the independent maker's instructions and fitment claims; Hark Tech has not independently verified them.

For E3D fan with integrated layer-fan we would normally reach for PETG — it is tougher and more heat-resistant than PLA, ideal for parts that take load or live somewhere warm.
