About this print
A body shell for a radio-controlled vehicle, styled after the 1932 Ford hot rod and rat rod trucks of the era. It forms the decorative outer shell of a custom RC build, sitting over a metal chassis and housing crawler-sourced running gear. The design reflects the low-slung, stripped-back aesthetic of traditional hot rod building. ASA or PETG provides the toughness needed for an RC body shell that will take regular knocks during use.

This RC was inspired by '32 Ford hot rod trucks, without being specific to any particular model, it is built around a laser cut aluminium chassis with a 3D printed (SLS Nylon) shell.
The running gear is mostly sourced from the RC crawler world, aluminum hop-up axles, gearbox and suspension links.
