It’s a community file from its original creator, and now and then a file has a fault that only shows up when we print it, such as walls that are too thin or parts that don’t join properly. If that happens we’ll let you know and try to fix the file, which can add a day or two. If we can’t get a good print from it, we’ll refund you in full.

Good to know before you order

TPU has a £11.50 print-order minimum. ABS, ASA, PC, Nylon and PETG-CF have a £46 minimum; PA-CF has a £69 minimum. Delivery is shown separately in your cart.

About this print

An x-axis carriage for Prusa i3 family desktop 3D printers, designed to slide along the x-axis rods using linear bearings and carry the hotend assembly. It accommodates LM8UU and Igus RJ4JP-01-08 bearings, fits E3D v6 hotend mounts, and is suitable for P3Steel, Prusa i3 rework and Prusa i3 mk2 frames. PLA is widely used for printed printer carriages, though PETG handles the warmth generated near the hotend more reliably.

###What Is It?
If you are upgrading your Prusa i3 hotend mount or extruder assemnly, you'll need some way of mounting it to your x rods. Theis x-carriage attaches to the x rods using linear bearings. This x-carriage uses the same four hole mounting system that is used on the Prusa I3 rework 1.5 kit and most designs on thingiverse, so you'll need to print off a compatible x-carriage mount.

This design uses a clamp to hold the bearings in place rather than using flimsy zip ties.
