It’s a community file from its original creator, and now and then a file has a fault that only shows up when we print it, such as walls that are too thin or parts that don’t join properly. If that happens we’ll let you know and try to fix the file, which can add a day or two. If we can’t get a good print from it, we’ll refund you in full.

Good to know before you order

TPU has a £11.50 print-order minimum. ABS, ASA, PC, Nylon and PETG-CF have a £46 minimum; PA-CF has a £69 minimum. Delivery is shown separately in your cart.

About this print

A hollow globe modelled on the Earth, designed to be used as a decorative lamp or night light. The shell is intended to diffuse light from an internal LED source placed inside the globe. It suits tabletop or bedside use as a decorative lighting piece. Printing the globe in PLA with no infill and maximum perimeter shells keeps the walls thin enough to allow light to pass through while retaining the shape of the sphere.

I put in a slow fade color changing 5mm LED and wired it up to an old AC to DC power adapter.

Printed on the [Anycubic I3 MEGA](https://www.gearbest.com/3d-printers-3d-printer-kits/pp_641323.html?lkid=11646892) and it came out great.

I printed with no support on either piece.
For the globe, I printed with no infill, but max number of shells and top/bottom layers.
