It’s a community file from its original creator, and now and then a file has a fault that only shows up when we print it, such as walls that are too thin or parts that don’t join properly. If that happens we’ll let you know and try to fix the file, which can add a day or two. If we can’t get a good print from it, we’ll refund you in full.

Good to know before you order

TPU has a £11.50 print-order minimum. ABS, ASA, PC, Nylon and PETG-CF have a £46 minimum; PA-CF has a £69 minimum. Delivery is shown separately in your cart.

About this print

An electronics enclosure designed for the Anet A8 FDM printer, mounting to the same guide holes as the mainboard. It houses the mainboard and dual MOSFETs, with cable management channels on each side. A lid variant accommodates a 120mm cooling fan. PETG is a suitable material for printed electronics enclosures, as it tolerates the mild heat generated by printer electronics better than PLA and remains suitably rigid.

An open electronics box for the Anet A8 printer. This will bolt to the same guide holes as the mainboard. It will house the mainboard and dual mosfets. It is offset as to not interfere with the X-axis motor.

There is a small cage either side of the mainboard for cable management

This just fits in the bounds as a one-piece print for the A8.

I have made some alterations to the STL since I printed it to reflect the manual alteration I had to make.

I have now added the STL for the Lid that will accommodate a 120mm Fan

Update: 2/1/18
I have added an STL for a 120mm - 80mm fan mount for those who already have an 80mm fan as well as STLs for a 120mm and 80mm fan cover

I have updated the Box STL file as there was a group of faces missing from the model preventing the gap behind the mainboard from printing.

Also fixed an issue with the lids mounting holes

This will now print as desired (Thanks to Atatoth for helping with this resolution)
