We didn’t design this model. It’s a community file from its original creator, and now and then a file has a fault that only shows up when we print it, such as walls that are too thin or parts that don’t join properly. If that happens we’ll let you know and try to fix the file, which can add a day or two. If we can’t get a good print from it, we’ll refund you in full.

TPU has a £11.50 print-order minimum. ABS, ASA, PC, Nylon and PETG-CF have a £46 minimum; PA-CF has a £69 minimum. Delivery is shown separately in your cart.

About this print

A large-scale display figure featuring the Iron Giant robot alongside the character Hogarth, inspired by the animated film of the same name. The model suits fans of the film and collectors of figures based on animated and cartoon movies. PLA is a practical choice for large figurines, as it is straightforward to print and can be finished with acrylic paints.

This is the Iron Giant and Hogarth! It's perfect timing since he seems to be a decently big part of Ready Player One. But I'll always have a soft spot in my heart for the original animation. I used to watch this with my brother all the time. And this scene is by far the most powerful for me. I hope you guys like it! :)

I modeled the Iron Giant in Fusion 360, I posed him and split him up in there as well. Then I made all the files print ready in Simplify3D. I modeled Hogarth in ZBrush.

After the parts were printed, we assembled them using a ton of glue and 2 part epoxy. And Chelsey painted Hogarth using acrylic paints.

If you're going to print this, be aware that scaling it down may cause some problems. There are a few parts that will become to small to print (notably the finger cuffs). I will be making a few derivatives of this model and uploading them (hopefully shortly) that should allow for printing smaller. :)

Other wise if you run into any weird issues, leave a comment here and I'll do my best to keep up on them and fix any issues!
