About this print
The Lyman Filament Extruder II is a redesigned desktop machine used to produce 3D printing filament from raw plastic pellets. It uses fewer wood components than the original version, replacing them with steel parts for improved durability. Assembly requires additional custom and off-the-shelf hardware beyond the printed components. PETG or ABS is worth considering for the structural parts, as both materials handle the heat produced during extrusion better than PLA.

The LYMAN FILAMENT EXTRUDER II is a redesign or the original LYMAN FILAMENT EXTRUDER. It features less wood parts and more steel parts, as well as other material changes. The BOM includes quotations of custom parts from emachineshop.com. It is designed for resubmittion to DFC to overcome their objection to the parts being fabricated by me as custom parts.
Formatting may have been simplified. These are the independent maker's instructions and fitment claims; Hark Tech has not independently verified them.
