We didn’t design this model. It’s a community file from its original creator, and now and then a file has a fault that only shows up when we print it, such as walls that are too thin or parts that don’t join properly. If that happens we’ll let you know and try to fix the file, which can add a day or two. If we can’t get a good print from it, we’ll refund you in full.

Good to know before you order

TPU has a £11.50 print-order minimum. ABS, ASA, PC, Nylon and PETG-CF have a £46 minimum; PA-CF has a £69 minimum. Delivery is shown separately in your cart.

About this print

Tiles of printable grass strands, available in various sizes, for use as ground cover in tabletop miniature scenes, Easter displays or model dioramas. The strands are printed sideways and can be trimmed to length after printing. Tiles come in double density and narrow strip formats to suit different layout requirements. PLA works well here, as the fine strand geometry benefits from the material's stiffness, helping the blades stand upright once printed.

Why grow your own lawn (or Easter Grass), when you can simply print it? Here's a collection of different sizes of grass tiles, which are easy to print and can be cut to length (60mm full length. Can be scaled longer, but only in the direction on the strands!!). New updated sizes, 75x75mm double density tile, pictured with the boat from Monopoly and a thin 25x150mm one. As with any "hairy" print, these are printed sideways, and then one of the plates is cut free. The parts should be oriented so, that each strand starts printing from the top of the grass and ends on the root (Cura changes this when you rotate the block 180 degrees on the Z axis).This way you get a nice effect, where the grass is thinner on the top, and adheres better to the bottom plate. You can choose, if you want to have a thick bottom plate or the thin one, by simply orienting the parts accordingly and cutting the opposite plate off.
