It’s a community file from its original creator, and now and then a file has a fault that only shows up when we print it, such as walls that are too thin or parts that don’t join properly. If that happens we’ll let you know and try to fix the file, which can add a day or two. If we can’t get a good print from it, we’ll refund you in full.

Good to know before you order

TPU has a £11.50 print-order minimum. ABS, ASA, PC, Nylon and PETG-CF have a £46 minimum; PA-CF has a £69 minimum. Delivery is shown separately in your cart.

About this print

A wearable, articulated Iron Man helmet designed for cosplay use. The faceplate moves on a servo-actuated mechanism, and the build includes provision for optional LED eyes. Printed parts are sized to fit an adult head, with a two-part sizing ring to help confirm the correct scale before printing the full helmet. PLA is a common choice for cosplay helmets as it sands and paints well, though PETG adds a little more resilience for pieces that will be worn and handled regularly.

Update 12/09/2020:
Added a wiring video
Update the code for Eyes to blink on when facemask closes and off when facemask opens
Slight update to re-sizing instructions. Servo mounts should be scaled in X-Axis only.

Update 11/05/2020:
Added a two part sizing ring. They print flat on 200x200mm bed. Tape the two parts together and measure for size.

Added Optional Eyes (dimmable)

Notes: Servos will behave erratic on low batteries. Use usb when setting it up and fresh batteries when using the helmet.
