About this print
A small robot action figure designed as a test model for the Maker Faire 3D Printer Shoot Out in 2015, a widely used benchmarking exercise for evaluating FDM printer capabilities. The character features a stylised mechanical form and was chosen specifically to test printer performance on complex overhanging geometry. PLA is well suited for printing this display piece, producing clean surfaces and accurate detail.
