We didn’t design this model. It’s a community file from its original creator, and now and then a file has a fault that only shows up when we print it, such as walls that are too thin or parts that don’t join properly. If that happens we’ll let you know and try to fix the file, which can add a day or two. If we can’t get a good print from it, we’ll refund you in full.

Good to know before you order

TPU has a £11.50 print-order minimum. ABS, ASA, PC, Nylon and PETG-CF have a £46 minimum; PA-CF has a £69 minimum. Delivery is shown separately in your cart.

About this print

A compact, fully printable fishing rod with an integrated reel, designed to be pocket-sized for easy carrying. It is intended for camping, hiking and survival situations where a portable fishing option is useful. The rod and reel components are printed separately and assembled. PETG is a practical material for this build, as it offers flexibility and handles moisture better than PLA, making it more suitable for use near water.

Great for hiking or camping, and is small enough to fit into a pocket so you can fish anytime. The handle is hollowed out and there is a threaded end cap so that you can store some hooks and lures in the handle. The spool can be configured for either left-handed or right-handed when you assemble it. Video:

Update 6/26/15: I have hollowed out the handle and added a threaded endcap so that you can stash some lures, hooks, and sinkers in the handle. Thanks to the suggestion of Predator04. You can fit quite a bit of stuff in there!

Update 6/25/15: I added a new deeper reel with a much greater line capacity. The name of the file is 'New Reel.stl'. The full plate of parts named 'Fishing Rod.stl' has had this new reel added to it, so by printing out the plate you can have both and choose one.

Formatting may have been simplified. These are the independent maker's instructions and fitment claims; Hark Tech has not independently verified them.
