Lead times you can plan around. Most 3D printing services either quote a vague "1-2 weeks" or chase the lowest possible number and miss it. We do neither. Each job is sliced, queued and given a firm dispatch date before any plastic moves. The tiers below are real-world averages from our workshop — not marketing fiction.

Turnaround at a glance

The three tiers

Express — 2 working days

For small, simple parts you need fast. Single-colour PLA or PETG, under roughly 12 hours of total print time, no exotic finishing. We slice on receipt, slot you onto the next free machine, post Tracked 24 the next morning. Surcharge is +25% on the print line, never more than £15 added.

Standard — 5-7 working days

The default and what most jobs use. Covers any material we stock, multi-part assemblies, sanding/priming/painting, multi-colour runs and parts up to the full ~300x300x300 mm K2 build volume. No surcharge — this is the headline price you see at quote.

Bulk — 10-14 working days

20+ identical units, or recurring weekly runs for businesses. Per-unit prices drop noticeably at 20, 50 and 100 units. We schedule bulk work overnight on dedicated machines so it doesn’t block other customers. Talk to us first — we’ll cost it properly rather than running it through the calculator.

Genuinely urgent? Ask.

Same-day dispatch is sometimes possible for tiny parts if you message before 10am and the queue allows. We’ll quote yes or no in 30 minutes — no “maybe”. WhatsApp is fastest.

What the clock includes

What can delay a job

How it works

  1. Upload your STL. The instant-quote tool on the 3D printing page takes the file, picks material and colour, gives a price.
  2. Pick a tier. Express, Standard or Bulk — or just describe the deadline and we’ll suggest.
  3. We slice and confirm. Within a few hours of order we email you a firm dispatch date based on the live queue.
  4. Print + finish. Camera-monitored, queued onto the right machine for your material and finish requirements.
  5. Dispatch. Tracked 24 / 48 from Basingstoke. Tracking link emailed on the day.

Frequently asked questions

How fast can you 3D print and post a part?

Express tier dispatches in 2 working days for parts under ~12 hours of print time, posted Royal Mail Tracked 24. Most UK addresses receive next working day after dispatch, so a Monday morning order can be on your desk Thursday.

What’s standard turnaround for a normal job?

5-7 working days from order confirmation to dispatch. That covers slicing, slot-in on the print queue, the print itself, post-processing and packing. Posted Tracked 24 or Tracked 48 depending on size.

Do you offer bulk or short-run pricing?

Yes — Bulk tier covers 20+ identical parts or sustained weekly runs, dispatched in 10-14 working days. Per-unit pricing drops noticeably at 20, 50 and 100 units. Talk to us first if you need ongoing low-volume production.

What can delay a print?

STL issues (non-manifold meshes, paper-thin walls), unusual filament we have to order in, or print failures on tall single-piece parts. We’ll always flag these before starting and re-quote if scope changes.

Can I collect locally instead of posting?

Yes — collection from Basingstoke (RG23) saves the postage line, just say so when ordering. Same lead times apply.

Will you confirm an exact dispatch date?

Yes — once we’ve sliced your file we email a firm dispatch date, not a vague window. If the queue is heavy we’ll quote the realistic date up front rather than overpromise.

Do you ship outside the UK?

Yes, by request — Tracked & Signed International, lead times the same plus postal time. Customs paperwork is the customer’s responsibility outside the UK.
