Trade electronics repairs for shops and resellers
Send suitable console, laptop and retro repair work by post. Start with the models, quantities, fault notes and board photos. We confirm scope, price and dispatch date before you send a batch.
Batch rates per unit
Batch rates need 3 or more units of the same service and a compatible model or revision, up to 10 per batch. Every batch is confirmed by written quote first.
Repeat bench work for businesses that sell or service hardware
A written quote for each batch, one invoice, and one tracked UK return to your business.
Repair shops
Console port and board jobs you would rather send out than tie up your own bench with. You stay the customer’s point of contact.
Resellers and refurbishers
Consoles and handhelds bought in with a known port fault, sent together as a batch of matching models.
Retro and specialist traders
Retro recaps and vehicle ECU recaps, quoted per batch once we have seen the boards and a parts list.
What we don’t take: we don’t repair phones or tablets, and whole TVs and hi-fi units are outside this batch offer. There is no walk-in, drop-off or collection. The postal address is shared privately once a batch is quoted and booked.
Only have one unit? Use the normal retail booking on the service page, or the £40 board assessment for an unknown fault. A batch rate needs three compatible units.
Port repairs and paid board diagnostics
Fixed batch rates cover a defined scope. Anything outside it is photographed and quoted before we do the work.
Console HDMI ports
PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4 and Xbox One. A standard replacement port on intact pads, reassembly and the agreed functional check.
PS4 and Xbox One units go in separate same-model batches.
Nintendo Switch USB-C ports
A standard replacement USB-C port on intact pads, reassembly and the agreed charge, data and dock checks for that model.
A no-power symptom is not proof of a faulty port, so send photos and fault notes first.
Unknown board faults
A £40 assessment per unit, credited once against that unit’s approved repair. Then £80 per bench hour in 15-minute increments, plus parts at cost, with a written quote before any repair work.
A paid assessment is a diagnosis, not a promised repair.
Vehicle ECU recap batches
ECU batches are quoted individually, once we know the boards, parts and time involved.
Included in an ECU recap
- The agreed electrolytic capacitors, replaced with appropriate 105°C parts
- Local cleanup of leaked electrolyte
- Minor trace and pad work, and joint inspection under magnification
- Power-rail and continuity checks where the board allows
Not included
- Major board reconstruction
- Coding, cloning or immobiliser work
- Testing in a vehicle. We can’t run an ECU as if it were in the car
- Any guarantee that a recap cures a running fault
For reference, our standard single-unit vehicle ECU recap is £95. That retail price is not a trade batch rate: a batch quote depends on the actual boards and parts list.
Trade prices, scope and warranty
Per unit, including the standard part and the scoped repair. Batch rates are agreed by written quote and invoice, not booked online.

Deposit and payment: one invoice per batch. Fixed-rate units take a £15 booking payment each (£45 minimum for three), credited per unit against the accepted total. Unknown-fault units take the £40 assessment instead, not both. The balance is due before return. Batch rates don’t combine with any other discount or offer.
Postage: you pay inbound postage. One agreed tracked UK return per accepted batch is included in the per-unit rate; the written quote confirms the return parcel and any split shipment. Mixed models and unknown faults are quoted separately.
Photos, quote, invoice, repair, return
Send the brief
Models, quantities, fault notes and board photos, plus a unit manifest if you have one.
Written quote
Scope, price per unit and a dispatch date, confirmed after capacity and parts checks.
Invoice and post
Pay the booking payments by secure payment link. The postal address is then shared privately.
Repair and test
Each unit is repaired and checked against its line on the manifest, with a result per unit.
Balance and return
Pay the balance, then the batch goes back to your business by tracked UK post.
Testing, unsuccessful units and warranty
Each unit stays on its own invoice line, so one unit’s result never changes another’s price.
Testing
We confirm the test hardware and the model-specific checks, such as charge, data and dock checks, before accepting a unit. List any test accessories you are sending, or that we agree to use.
If a unit can’t be completed
On a fixed-rate unit, if we can’t complete the repair or you decline a revised quote for extra damage, that unit’s £15 covers its tracked return and there is no further repair balance.
A completed £40 assessment stays payable if the work is declined or uneconomic, and covers return. An assessment cancelled before it begins is refunded. We never dispose of a unit without your agreement.
Warranty
Port repairs and console or handheld board-level power repairs: 12 months. Recaps and general soldering: 90 days. The warranty covers our workmanship on the related repair, not the whole device or any warranty you give your own customers.
Claims follow our terms, section 10, including claim postage.
Payment and dispatch dates
Pay by card or Pay by Bank through a secure Stripe link, subject to what checkout offers. No credit terms, parts on account or repair subscriptions. Special-order parts are agreed and prepaid before ordering, and credited once.
The dispatch date is confirmed in the written quote. A date you request is not a turnaround commitment.
Before you send a batch
How should I pack a batch?
- Label each unit to match its line on the manifest.
- Put bare boards in separate anti-static (ESD) bags and protect exposed connectors.
- Use a rigid box with padding around every unit.
- Include only the test accessories we agreed.
- Check your carrier accepts the contents, and leave out any damaged or swollen batteries.
- If a board has to come out of a mains-powered unit, have a competent technician remove it.
How many units do I need for a batch rate?
Three or more units of the same service and a compatible model or revision, up to 10 units in one accepted batch. Mixed models and unknown faults are quoted separately. A single unit can use the normal retail booking or the paid assessment route.
Can I drop a batch off?
No. Hark Tech is mail-in only, with no walk-in, drop-off or collection. The postal address is shared privately once the batch is quoted and the booking payment is made.
What warranty applies to trade repairs?
Port repairs carry 12 months and recaps and general soldering carry 90 days, covering the workmanship on the related repair only, not the whole device or any warranty you give your own customers. Board-level power repairs on consoles and handhelds carry 12 months; any other board-level work has its period confirmed in writing with your quote.
Whose items are these, and where do they go back?
You confirm you have authority to send any customer-owned items, and the batch returns to your business. We don’t ship direct to your customers or repair under another company’s name. Please don’t include passwords or your customers’ personal details in the brief.
Do you repair phones or tablets?
No. Phones and tablets are not repaired, and whole TVs and hi-fi units are outside this batch offer.
Do you offer credit terms?
No. Each batch has one invoice with booking payments up front and the balance due before return. There are no credit terms or repair subscriptions.
