Most services make you upload a file to learn anything. Here is our whole price list instead: 4p per gram of PLA plus £1.00 per machine hour, orders from £6, no per-item handling fee, and free UK delivery over £50. The estimator applies exactly these numbers, nothing else.
Material, weighed from your actual file. PLA is 4p; tougher and engineering materials run 4.4p to 9.6p per gram (table below).
Print time, estimated from your actual file. A 2-hour clip costs pennies of time; a 20-hour helmet pays for the machine it occupies.
Floors: £4 per part, £6 per order. That covers handling, checking and packing on the smallest jobs. Compare £15 to £40 minimums at the industrial bureaus.
That is the whole formula. No file-setup fee, no per-item handling fee, no quote fee. Speed tier multiplies the labour: Express (2-day dispatch) ×1.7, Standard (5 to 7 working days) ×1, Economy (10 to 14 days) ×0.8. Students take 20% off labour with an academic email.
Standard speed, PLA unless stated. Your file's exact weight and time drive the real quote, these are typical shapes:
| Part | Weight | Print time | Sum | You pay |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cable clip or bracket | 8 g | 0.5 h | £0.82 | £6.00 (order minimum) |
| Phone stand | 45 g | 3.5 h | £5.30 | £6.00 (order minimum) |
| Mounting bracket, PETG | 40 g | 3 h | £4.92 | £6.00 (order minimum) |
| Electronics enclosure, PETG | 90 g | 7 h | £11.32 | £11.32 |
| Large cosplay or housing part | 300 g | 20 h | £32.00 | £32.00 (free delivery) |
For reference, other UK online services published example quotes in July 2026 of £9.54 for a phone stand, £14.14 for a mounting bracket and £13.03 for an enclosure, before their own delivery. Ours are above, from the same kinds of files.
Per-gram rates. PLA and PETG are on the shelf in 16 colours; the rest are ordered in fresh for your job, which carries a £40 minimum order (it covers the reel). The materials guide compares them honestly.

Here: 4p per gram of PLA (other materials 4.4p to 9.6p) plus £1.00 per machine hour, with a £4 per-part and £6 per-order minimum. Palm-sized parts typically land between £6 and £15, larger or engineering-material parts £15 to £40. The estimator shows the exact price for your file before you pay.
No. No per-item handling fee, no setup fee, no quote fee. Delivery from £2.85, free UK tracked delivery over £50. The one conditional: engineering materials not on the shelf carry a £40 minimum order, which covers ordering in a fresh reel, and the estimator flags it before you pay.
A 20-hour print occupies a machine for 20 hours however little it weighs. Weight-only pricing overcharges small dense parts and undercharges big hollow ones; charging both keeps every quote honest, and the breakdown shows each number.
Automatically: 5% off labour from 5 identical parts, rising to 40% at 300+. Students take a further 20% off labour with an academic email, and the Economy speed tier takes another 20% off when you can wait 10 to 14 days.
For occasional parts, yes: a decent printer is £200 to £500 before filament, failed prints and your evenings. For one part a month, ordering wins. If you print weekly, buy a printer, and our help library will get you running it well.
Updated July 2026. This page states the same constants the live estimator runs on, so if a number changes here it changed in the quote engine too. The price you see at upload is always the one that applies.
