If the battery looks swollen or the case is bulging, stop charging and using the controller, and message us before you post it.
We work on all DualSense board revisions and confirm the board revision when your controller arrives.
On some DualSense boards the pads under the USB-C port can tear when the old port comes off. If that happens, or we find any other damage beyond the job, we photograph it and quote before any extra work. Nothing extra is done without your approval.

If the controller only charges with the cable held at an angle, the cable feels loose or falls out, or the console does not detect it over USB, the USB-C port is the likely fault. If it charges but dies quickly, will not hold a charge, or the battery looks swollen, the battery is the likely fault. Not sure?
