USB-C port repair for the socket that does everything

USB-C often carries power, charging, data and video through one small connector. When it loosens, cracks or loses pins, the whole device can appear dead. We repair board-mounted USB-C ports on laptops, handhelds, controllers, docks, cameras, mini PCs and other suitable mail-in hardware.

Connector triage

What stopped working?

USB-C is a connector shape, not a single function.

Questions

USB-C port repair, answered

What devices do you cover?

Laptops, MacBooks, Switch, Steam Deck, controllers, headsets, docks, mini PCs, cameras, development boards and other suitable mail-in electronics. We do not repair phones or tablets.

How much does USB-C port repair cost?

Switch and Steam Deck are £75 fixed. Other devices start with a £40 assessment credited against an approved repair, because access and the port circuitry vary.

Who pays postage?

You arrange and pay tracked postage to us. We cover tracked UK return within the fixed price or agreed repair quote. The assessment covers tracked return if you decline.

Is the socket always the charging fault?

No. A charger, cable, battery or power-delivery fault can look similar. If the connector is not clearly damaged, we diagnose before changing it.

Can you repair torn USB-C pads?

We can assess lifted pads and broken traces from impact or previous work. Send close photos first; additional trace work is quoted from the actual damage.

Loose, broken or unreliable USB-C?

Send the model, symptoms and clear connector photos for a free first check, or book the £40 assessment when diagnosis is needed.
