How to order a TPU part

1
Upload your file

Drop your STL, 3MF or STEP onto the price tool, or open a model in our catalogue.

2
Choose TPU (flexible)

Pick TPU as the material, a stocked colour and the number of copies. The price and delivery options appear before you pay.

3
Printed, checked, posted

We print it in Basingstoke, check it by hand and post it. Thin parts can go by Large Letter through the letterbox.

What TPU is good for, and what it is not

TPU is the flexible one: rubber-like parts printed to your exact geometry, not cut from sheet. Use it for seals, gaskets, feet, grips, bumpers, dampers and cable strain reliefs. It has excellent abrasion resistance, is fine outdoors and handles about 60°C under light load.

It is not for stiff structural parts, fine detail is limited and it prints slowly. For a stiff part choose PETG, or ABS and ASA for heat; the materials guide compares every material we run.

A 25 x 25 x 8 mm TPU pad (about 3.4 g) at Standard quality and 20% infill, sliced on our workshop slicer and priced exactly as the website prices it on 19 October 2026. A worked example, not a quote for your file.

Delivery is shown at checkout: Large Letter £1.95 untracked or £2.95 tracked for thin parts, Tracked 48 small parcel £4.65, free on orders of £40 or more. TPU machine time is billed at 1.5 times the sliced time because flexible filament prints slowly.

TPU 3D printing, answered

Can I get a TPU part 3D printed in the UK?

Yes. Upload your STL, 3MF or STEP file at the price tool and choose TPU (flexible). The price appears in seconds, the same as PLA or PETG. TPU orders have a £11.50 minimum, and the part is printed in Basingstoke and posted to you.

What is TPU good for?

Flexible, rubber-like parts: seals, gaskets, feet, bumpers, grips, dampers and cable strain reliefs. It has excellent abrasion resistance, copes with outdoor use and handles about 60°C under light load. It is printed to your exact shape rather than cut from sheet.

How much does TPU 3D printing cost?

There is a £11.50 minimum order. Checked on our workshop slicer on 19 October 2026, a 25 x 25 x 8 mm TPU pad (about 3.4 g) was £18.40 for 4, £36.80 for 10 and £80.50 for 25 (with free Tracked 48 delivery). The same 25 on Bulk lead time were £64.40. Your file's price is the one the estimator shows.

Why does TPU cost more than PLA or PETG?

Flexible filament prints slowly, so TPU machine time is billed at 1.5 times the sliced time; batches of small TPU parts have run about that much longer than the slice on our machines. The material is also dearer per gram.

What is TPU not suitable for?

Stiff structural parts, very fine detail and anything that has to hold a tight shape under load. For a stiff part choose PETG, or ABS or ASA for heat; the materials guide compares them.

Can I order a batch of TPU parts?

Yes. Batch discounts apply to TPU too: 10% off the print cost at 5 copies, 20% at 10, 30% at 25, 40% at 50 and 50% at 100. See batch 3D printing.

My part must match a particular hardness. Can you do that?

Message us before ordering with the part and the hardness it needs, and we will tell you honestly whether our TPU suits it.

I do not have a file, only the worn part.

Search the catalogue of community designs for replacement feet, grommets and bumpers. Hark Tech does not do CAD; the separate partner CEEQ Design can quote the modelling first.
