Three ways to get your part

1. Search the catalogue

Over 100,000 community-shared designs, searchable by make and model. If someone, somewhere, broke the same part – there is probably a design for it. Search the catalogue.

2. Upload your own file

Already have an STL, 3MF or STEP file? Upload it to the instant estimator and get a firm price in seconds. Most one-off parts land under £15 delivered.

3. No file? CEEQ designs it

Our design partner CEEQ Design (chartered engineers, Basingstoke) measures the broken part and models a replacement, then we print it. Costs more than printing an existing design, so we check the catalogue first.

Choose the right material

PETG
Recommended

Tough, slightly flexible and handles warmth well. Our default for functional replacement parts – clips, brackets, lids.

ASA
Outdoors & sun

The most heat and UV resistant option. Pick this for garden, vehicle and outdoor parts that live in the weather.

PLA
Indoor & light duty

Crisp detail and the lowest price. Great for holders, organisers and decorative parts that stay indoors.

Higher loads? We also print engineering materials – ask, or pick them in the estimator.

Frequently asked questions

The manufacturer no longer sells the part I need. Can you help?

Very often, yes. Makers all over the world model replacement parts for their own kit and share the designs openly. We print from a catalogue of over 100,000 of these community designs. Search it for your make and model, or send us a message and we will look for you.

Do I need a 3D file to order?

No. If the part is in our catalogue you just open its page, pick a material and colour, and the live price appears in seconds. If you already have an STL, 3MF or STEP file, upload it to the estimator for an instant price instead.

What if no design exists for my part?

If you have the broken part, our design partner CEEQ Design (chartered engineers, also in Basingstoke) can measure and model a replacement, and we print it. Design work costs more than printing an existing file, so we always check the catalogue first.

Are 3D printed replacement parts strong enough?

For most household and hobby parts, yes – when printed in the right material and orientation. We recommend PETG for general functional parts, ASA for anything outdoors, and engineering materials for higher loads. We do not print safety-critical parts such as anything for medical, automotive braking or structural use.

Are these official manufacturer parts?

No. They are independent, community-shared designs made by makers for their own equipment and shared under open licences, and we print them to order. They are not affiliated with or endorsed by the original manufacturers. Designer credit and the original source are shown on every part page.

Can you design a part from scratch, or modify a design?

No. We are a print workshop, not a design studio. The designs we print were created by independent makers, credited on every part page. We are happy to search for an existing design for your make and model, and each design's licence decides whether we can print it. If nothing exists, our design partner CEEQ Design can model the part from scratch as a paid design job, and we print it.

Custom parts: what we can make for you

Car interior trim is one of the most common requests we get. A broken sun visor clip, a snapped dashboard tab, a missing centre console peg – dealers never stock these, but they are well within reach of a 3D printer. We print to match the original shape from photos, measurements, or a community-shared design when one exists. No 3D file needed on your end.

How much does it cost?

We quote per job once we know the part and material. Send a photo and a brief description through the contact page and we will come back with a price before any work starts.

How long does it take?

Typically a few working days from confirmation, depending on print time and whether the design needs drawing from scratch or already exists as a community file. Custom design work for unusual parts takes a little longer.

Is it worth printing a replacement instead of buying new?

More often than you might think. A cracked vacuum cleaner handle, a fridge shelf clip, a broken speaker bracket – the print cost is usually far below the cost of a replacement unit. We can advise on whether printing makes more sense than sourcing a new part.

DIY or send it in?

If you own a printer and the file is already on Printables or Thingiverse, that is often the quickest route. We are useful when you need the printed part but do not have the equipment, cannot locate the file, or need something drawn to an exact fit.

Frequently asked questions

How much does a 3D printed replacement part cost?

We quote per job rather than using a fixed price list, because the cost depends on the size, material, and how much design work is involved. Send a photo and a brief description via the contact page and we will come back with a price before anything goes ahead.

How long will it take to receive my printed part?

Most jobs complete within a few working days once we have confirmed the design and you have approved the quote. Parts that need drawing from scratch take a little longer than those with an existing community file to work from.

Can you print replacement parts for cars?

Yes. Car interior trim is a regular request – clips, tabs, brackets, and small trim pieces that snap or go missing. As long as the part is not structural or safety-critical, 3D printing is a practical option and often far cheaper than dealer prices for discontinued pieces.

Do I need to send you the original part or a 3D file?

Neither is required, though both help. A clear photo with something for scale and a written description of where the part fits is usually enough to get started. If you have the broken original to hand, we can work from measurements too.

Can I print a replacement part myself instead?

If you have a printer and the file exists on Printables, Thingiverse, or a similar site, go for it – that is often the quickest route. We are here for when you need the part but lack the equipment, cannot locate the design file, or need something drawn to an exact fit.
