Design + print, end to end

From an idea to a finished part, designed and printed.

Got an idea, a sketch or a broken part but no 3D file? Our CAD design partner models it, we print it on machines we run ourselves, and post it to you. One supplier, idea to part in your hand, no CAD skills needed.

What we can design

If you can describe it, we can make it

No CAD file, no problem. Bring an idea, a sketch, a photo or a worn-out part, and it leaves as a finished, 3D-printed component.

Custom parts from scratch

Describe it, sketch it or show us a reference. Our design partner models it properly in CAD, sized to fit and built to print, then we print it.

Mechanical & functional parts

Brackets, mounts, gears, housings and moving assemblies designed to fit and to take load. Proper engineering (CAD, FEM, CFD, seals), not a quick sketch.

Replacement & obsolete parts

A broken bracket, a discontinued clip, a worn gear or knob, reverse-engineered from the old part or a photo and reprinted in a material that lasts.

Enclosures & housings

Custom cases, bezels, mounts and brackets for electronics and hardware, designed around your components and in the right material for where they live.

Improve an existing part

Fix a weak point, change a fit, add a feature or adapt a part to a new use, then print the upgraded version. Electronics and full product design too.

Prototypes & one-offs

Turn a concept into something you can hold and test in days, not weeks. Bespoke one-off components, display pieces and proof-of-concept parts.

Our design partner

The design is in expert hands

We are a printing workshop, not a design studio, so for proper CAD work we partner with people who do it for a living. You get one job, start to finish, with the modelling done right.

No CAD skills neededSend a sketch, a photo, rough dimensions or a sample. You never have to touch CAD software yourself.
Designed to actually printModels are built to be printable and to fit the real world, not just to look right on a screen.
You approve before we printYou see the model first. Nothing goes on a printer until you are happy with the design.
The model is yoursKeep the CAD file for future reprints or tweaks. No lock-in, no per-print design fee.
One point of contactYou deal with Hark Tech throughout. We coordinate the design and handle the printing and posting.

Design is quoted per part by CEEQ Design based on complexity. Ask us and we will get you a figure before any work starts.

Materials & capability

The right material, honestly advised

We print FDM, the right tool for strong, functional parts. If your part really needs a fine cosmetic finish, a transparent or a flexible material, we will tell you straight rather than sell you the wrong process.

How it works

From idea to finished part

1

Send your idea

A sketch, a photo, rough dimensions or a worn-out sample. Tell us what the part does and what it needs to fit. No CAD file needed.

2

We design it

Our partner CEEQ Design models it properly in CAD, sized to fit and built to print. You see the design and approve it before anything is printed.

3

We print it

We print your approved model in-house in the right material, PLA, PETG, ASA or PC, on machines we run and maintain ourselves.

4

Posted to you

Packed and posted UK-wide. The CAD model is yours, so reordering or tweaking the part later is easy.

What people bring us

Stuck at the modelling stage? You are not alone

Most people have the idea and the need, just not the 3D file. These are the jobs we see most.

A broken part with no replacement A clever idea, no CAD skills A discontinued component An enclosure for a project A bracket or mount that fits A repair that needs a custom part A prototype to test An existing part to improve A one-off, made properly
Questions

Design and print, answered

I do not have a 3D model. Can you still make my part?

Yes, that is exactly what this service is for. Send a sketch, a photo, rough dimensions or even a broken sample. Our design partner CEEQ Design turns it into a print-ready CAD model, then we print it in-house and post it to you. You do not need any CAD skills.

How much does design and printing cost?

Printing is priced instantly from the finished file on our quote tool. The design step is quoted per part by CEEQ Design based on how complex it is, and a straightforward part usually costs a lot less than people expect. Just ask and we will get you a figure before any work starts.

Can you copy or reverse-engineer a broken or discontinued part?

Often, yes. Send the broken part or a clear photo with key dimensions and we can model and reprint discontinued brackets, clips, gears, knobs and housings in a suitable material.

Who does the design work?

Our design partner CEEQ Design, a Basingstoke CAD and mechanical design studio (3D design, mechanical, electronics and full product development). Hark Tech handles the printing in-house, so you get one point of contact and one finished part.

Do I own the 3D model?

Yes. The CAD model produced for you is yours to keep and reuse, including for future reprints.

How long does design and printing take?

Design time depends on how complex the part is. Printing is typically 3 to 7 working days once you approve the model. Tell us your deadline and we will be straight about what is realistic.

Which materials can you print?

PLA and PETG are in stock. ABS, ASA and PC engineering materials are ordered in for heat resistance, strength and outdoor durability. We recommend the right material for the job when we quote.
