Questions before booking

Small solder repair FAQ

What counts as a small soldering repair?

A straightforward low-voltage lead or wire reattachment with accessible, undamaged solder points. It does not include fault diagnosis, damaged PCB pads or traces, socket replacement, mains wiring or proprietary cable assemblies.

How do I know which price to choose?

Choose £30 if the original lead is intact and can be reused. Choose £40 if a suitable standard USB replacement lead needs to be supplied. If you are unsure, send clear photos before booking.

What if you find more damage?

We stop and contact you before doing anything outside the booked work. More involved board faults use the separate £40 board repair assessment rather than being added silently to this fixed-price service.

Is return postage included?

Yes. Tracked UK return postage is included in the £30 or £40 total. You arrange and pay for tracked postage to us.

Is the work covered?

The soldering workmanship is covered for 90 days. Damage caused by pulling, impact, liquid, misuse or a separate fault is not covered.
