The promise

Next-working-day dispatch, defined precisely

Most rapid prototyping in the UK means a 2 to 4 day express queue on top of a £40 minimum. Ours means this:

Paid by 1pm on a working dayWeekend and late orders roll to the next working day. The quote shows a live countdown to the cutoff.
In-stock materialPLA Basic and PETG are always on the shelf. Order-in materials add a working day and run on the standard lanes.
Under 9 hours of print timeMost prototype parts are 1 to 4 hours, so they qualify with room to spare. The cap exists so a failed first attempt can reprint overnight and still make your date.
You know before you payThe instant quote shows a live "qualifies for next-working-day dispatch" badge on every upload. No fine print discovered after checkout.
If it fails twice, you hear from usA twice-failed print gets a same-day email with an honest new dispatch date. That is the whole policy, stated here so you can hold us to it.

Material strategy

PLA first, engineering plastics when it matters

Prototyping is a ladder, and paying nylon prices to check a hole spacing is a waste of your budget.

1. Prove the fit in PLA

Crisp detail, the lowest cost and the fastest lane. Perfect for form, fit and does-it-actually-clip-in questions. From £6 a part, next-working-day dispatch when it qualifies.

2. Test it in PETG

Also in stock, also qualifies for next-day dispatch. Takes knocks, screws and moderate heat, so your prototype survives real handling and outdoor trials.

3. Finish in engineering material

Same file, one dropdown: ASA for UV, PC for strength and heat, Nylon for wear. Order-in materials add a working day and carry a £40 minimum. Then run the batch with volume discounts up to 40 percent.

Why Hark Tech

Built for iteration, not batch queues

The big powder-bed bureaus are excellent at what they do, which is production batches. Iteration is a different job with different economics.

No £40 minimumIndustrial bureaus set £40+ minimums per order, so three revisions cost £120 before postage. Here a revision is priced as the part it is, from £6.
STEP priced on the spotExport straight from Fusion, SolidWorks, Onshape or FreeCAD and see a firm price in seconds. Most UK services take STL only or bounce STEP files to a manual quote form.
Days faster where it countsBig-bureau economy queues run 6 to 12 working days and even express is 2 to 4 days plus delivery. A qualifying prototype here leaves the next working day.
A person, not a portalThe engineer who slices your file also checks and photographs the finished part before it ships, and answers your email himself.

How it works

From CAD to your bench

1

Upload

STEP, STL or sliced 3MF, up to 100 MB. Firm price in seconds with the next-day badge shown before you pay.

2

Pick material and quantity

PLA or PETG for the rapid lane, engineering materials for final parts. Five or more identical parts discounts automatically.

3

We print it

On the bench the same afternoon or overnight, then checked and photographed before packing.

4

Tracked dispatch

Royal Mail Tracked from £3.95, free over £40, with an invoice for your records.

Who this is for

Questions

Rapid prototyping, answered

What exactly does next-working-day dispatch mean?

Pay before 1pm on a working day, choose an in-stock material (PLA Basic or PETG), and keep the total print time under 9 hours, and your parts leave the workshop by tracked post the next working day. The instant quote shows you whether your part qualifies before you pay, so there is no guesswork.

What if my part does not qualify?

Nothing changes except the timeline. Bigger jobs run on our Express 2-day dispatch or the cheaper Bulk turnaround, and order-in materials add a working day. The quote always shows which lane your job is in.

What happens if a print fails?

Usually we reprint overnight and still make the date, which is why the 9-hour cap exists. If a part fails twice we email you the same day with an honest new dispatch date. No silent slipping.

Is dispatch the same as delivery?

No. Dispatch is when your parts leave us. Delivery is Royal Mail Tracked from £3.95 (free on orders over £40), which typically adds one to two days. You get the tracking number either way.

Will my prototype stay confidential?

Yes. Files are never shared or published, quote files that do not become orders are wiped from the server within 30 days, and we are happy to sign an NDA before you send anything.

Can I go from prototype to production with you?

That is the point of the material ladder. Prove the fit in PLA, print the functional version in PETG or ASA from the same file, then run the batch with automatic volume discounts up to 40 percent. Business accounts get invoicing, purchase orders and a named contact.

Can you design the part for me?

We print, our partner CEEQ Design models. If the part only exists as an idea, a sketch or a broken original, CEEQ reverse-engineer or design it and we print the result. One handoff, no juggling.
