Klipper installation done properly. We're a UK Klipper specialist with deep firmware-modding experience — including in-house reverse-engineering of the Creality K2 firmware (open-source projects on GitHub). We install Klipper, write your config from scratch, run input-shaper and pressure-advance calibration, build a bed mesh, hand you slicer profiles, and ship the whole setup back to you in a git repo so future-you can read and roll back changes. Remote installs from £80, mail-in from £150.

Why us, for Klipper

K2/K1 firmware-RE expertise

We don’t just install Klipper on a Creality machine — we’ve reverse-engineered the K2 stock firmware to understand what each vendor blob actually does. Our open-source KAMP-K2 and K2-Screws-Tilt projects ship to the wider community. Your printer is in expert hands.

Real tuning, not factory presets

Input shaper sweep on both axes (with accelerometer), pressure advance per material, bed mesh validated with a test print, retraction tuned for the actual extruder. Most "Klipper" service shops skip this — we do it as standard.

Configuration you can read

Your config goes into a git repo we hand over — printable diff, rollback to any working state, comments explaining every non-default setting. Vendor firmware is a black box; ours is documented.

Vendor features kept

On K2/K1: camera, AMS/CFS, chamber control, lights, runout sensor, even Creality cloud connectivity if you want it. Klipper underneath, vendor surface intact. Best of both.

Slicer profiles included

Tuned profiles for Orca, PrusaSlicer, Cura covering PLA + PETG by default (TPU, ABS, ASA on request). No more spending three weekends getting a clean first layer.

Honest scope

If your printer isn’t a fit for Klipper (e.g. Bambu’s closed firmware, ancient 8-bit boards) we’ll say so up front, not after taking your money. Free pre-flight check.

Pricing

Free pre-flight check on every job — tell us your printer model and we’ll confirm Klipper fit and give a firm quote before any work starts.

How it works

  1. Tell us about your printer. Model, current firmware, any mods. We’ll do a free fit check and give you a firm quote.
  2. Pick remote or mail-in. Remote works if your printer has SSH; mail-in if you want it done end-to-end.
  3. Install + config. We flash, configure, document. You can watch progress on a shared Mainsail link if remote.
  4. Tuning passes. Input shaper, pressure advance, bed mesh, retraction — with test prints to verify.
  5. Hand-over. Config in a git repo, slicer profiles in your hand, walk-through video if useful. 30-day cover on the install.

Frequently asked questions

Why install Klipper instead of stock firmware?

Klipper is open-source, runs your printer’s motion planning on a faster external computer, and supports input shaping and pressure advance properly — meaning faster prints with less ringing and cleaner corners. You also get a real config file you can read and modify, vs vendor firmware that’s a black box. Print speeds of 200-500 mm/s become realistic with the right tuning.

What printers do you support?

Creality K2 and K1 are our specialism — we’ve reverse-engineered the firmware and run multiple production K2s on Klipper. Also Ender 3 series, Ender 5, Voron-style builds, Sovol, Anycubic, and most LinuxCNC-style custom rigs. Bambu printers run their own closed firmware and aren’t a fit for Klipper.

Remote install or mail-in — which is right for me?

Remote (£80) is right if your printer already runs a Linux board you can SSH into, or you’re happy to flash a Klipper image yourself first and want us to handle config + tuning. Mail-in (£150-300) is right for stock printers needing flash + install + tuning, or anyone who just wants it done properly without the learning curve.

What’s included in the K2/K1 service?

Klipper install with all K2-specific bits handled (camera, AMS/CFS multi-colour, chamber temp, lights, filament runout). Bed mesh, input shaper sweep on both axes, pressure advance per material (PLA + PETG by default, more on request), retraction tuning, slicer profiles for Orca / PrusaSlicer / Cura. Config preserved in a git repo we hand you so future you can roll back.

Will I lose any vendor features?

On Creality K2/K1 you keep the camera, AMS/CFS multi-colour, chamber control, lights, runout sensor, and the Creality cloud (we leave it intact, not removed). What you gain: actual input shaping, pressure advance, faster prints, cleaner walls, control over every parameter. What you lose: nothing important, unless you specifically wanted the vendor slicer’s locked profiles.

Can you keep my existing Klipper printer healthy?

Yes — config audits are £40-60. We review your printer.cfg, check input shaper/PA values are sane, validate your bed mesh, sanity-check thermistor and stepper config, and write up findings. Useful if your printer is “mostly fine” but prints aren’t quite right.

Do you offer a warranty?

30 days on the install — if Klipper isn’t running cleanly within 30 days of handover for reasons under our control, we fix it free. Doesn’t cover hardware faults that develop after the install or your own subsequent config changes (we hand over everything in a git repo so rollbacks are trivial).
