Why single-hose air con struggles

It depressurises the room

A single hose blows your cooled indoor air outside. That air has to be replaced, so warm outdoor air is pulled in through gaps around doors and windows. You are cooling air just to throw it away.

It works harder for less

Because warm air keeps leaking back in, the unit runs longer to hold the same temperature. On the hottest days, when you need it most, a single-hose unit can struggle to keep up.

Dual-hose fixes both

A second hose feeds the condenser with outdoor air instead of room air, so the room stays sealed and cools faster. It is the same principle used by higher-end portable units that ship dual-hose from the factory.

AEG ChillFlex Pro AXP34 compatibility

Check the complete model code on the rating label before ordering. Confirmed AEG models and related Electrolux models are separated below so a shared casing is never presented as a guaranteed fit.

Choose the right material

PETG
Recommended

Tougher and more temperature resistant than PLA. Our default choice for an appliance part that may sit beside a warm unit or sunny window.

ASA
Best for full sun

The most heat and UV resistant option. Pick this if the unit sits in a conservatory or strong direct sunlight.

PC
Maximum heat resistance

Polycarbonate is the strongest, most heat tolerant material we print. More than this part strictly needs, but it will not blink at the exhaust side.

PLA
Budget option

The lowest-cost option, and the designer successfully tested the adapter in PLA. Keep it away from strong direct sun and sustained heat.

How it works

  1. Open the adapter page. We already hold the renamed, print-ready three-part 3MF, so there is nothing to upload or select.
  2. Pick material and colour. PETG is our recommendation. The live price updates as you choose.
  3. Check out and we print it. Printed to order in our Basingstoke workshop and posted tracked, usually within a few working days.

Frequently asked questions

What does the dual-hose conversion actually do?

A single-hose portable air conditioner pulls air from inside the room to cool its condenser, then blows that air outside. That creates negative pressure indoors, so warm unconditioned air gets sucked back in through gaps around doors and windows. A dual-hose setup gives the condenser its own outdoor air supply, so it does not depressurise the room. The result is faster, more efficient cooling, especially on hot days.

What is included, and what do I need to supply?

You receive the complete three-part printed adapter plus two M3 nuts and bolts for assembly. No heat-set inserts are needed. You supply one suitable portable-air-conditioner hose for the new intake. If you are unsure which hose to buy, message us before ordering.

Which material should I choose?

We recommend PETG for its balance of toughness, temperature resistance and price. The designer successfully printed and tested the adapter in PLA, so PLA is a valid budget option for a shaded room. Choose ASA if the unit sits in strong direct sun.

How does ordering work?

You do not need to upload anything, we already hold the print-ready files. Open the kit page, pick your material and colour, and check out. Postage is £5.55 Royal Mail Tracked 48, free on orders over £40. We print it to order and post it from Basingstoke, usually within a few working days.

Will it fit my exact AEG model?

The designer made it for AXP34U338CW. Hark Tech then printed this exact three-part file for an AXP34U339CW customer, who confirmed that it fits. Related Electrolux EXP34U338CW, EXP34U339CW and EXP34U339HW models may use the same rear geometry, but are not yet guaranteed. Send the rating-label code and a straight-on rear photo before ordering.

Where do I find the AEG ChillFlex model number?

Check the rating label on the back or side of the portable air conditioner. Use the complete code, such as AXP34U338CW or AXP34U339CW, because similar-looking ChillFlex models can use different intake fittings.
