Choose the process, not the prestige
Industrial printing has its place. Small FDM jobs need a simpler route.
Powder-bed, resin and metal processes solve requirements that ordinary FDM cannot. But a bracket, enclosure, fit-check prototype, jig or discontinued plastic spare may only need a reliable FDM print and a sensible delivered price.

- Draft from £5.18: PLA Basic at 0.28 mm layers and 10% infill for economical size, form and fit checks.
- Standard from £6.90: 0.20 mm quality with the material, colour and quantity selected in the live quote.
- Fine detail at 0.16 mm: for smaller visible layer steps on STL, STEP and unsliced 3MF files. The live quote includes the additional estimated machine time automatically.

Where can I get something 3D printed in the UK and posted to me?
Hark Tech in Basingstoke prints from your STL, 3MF or STEP file and posts it anywhere in the UK. Upload the file, see the firm price with delivery in seconds, and pay online. No account and no quote form.
How much does a 3D printing service cost?
A tiny PLA or PETG part up to 8 g is £4.00 to print, about £5.95 delivered. One PLA or PETG part on its own up to 40 g is £4.00 to £6.90 (16p per gram, £4.00 minimum): a 20 g part is £8.65 delivered by Tracked 48 and a 30 g part £9.83. Baskets with more than one part start at £6.90. Draft PLA fit checks start at £5.18. Prices checked 16 October 2026; your file's exact price shows before you pay.
Can I order just one 3D printed part?
Yes. One part on its own is a normal order, and a single PLA or PETG part up to 40 g gets the lone-part price from £4.00. There is no per-item handling fee and no VAT added. Several different small parts in one basket share one £6.90 order minimum and one postage charge.
How much are 25 copies of a small part?
Batch discounts apply automatically: 10% at 5 copies, 20% at 10, 30% at 25, 40% at 50 and 50% at 100. A 25 g PETG bracket is £80.50 for 25 (£3.22 each), with free Tracked 48 delivery over £40.
Can you print a model from Printables, Thingiverse or MakerWorld?
Yes, when the designer's licence allows it. Find Printables and Thingiverse models in our catalogue and order from the model page, or download the file (including from MakerWorld) and upload it to the price tool.
Which files can I send for printing?
Upload an STL, STEP or 3MF file. The estimator checks the file and shows the available material, quality and pricing options. You do not need an account to see the price.
Can you make a replacement part without a 3D model?
Hark Tech prints supplied files and suitable existing models. If the part still needs designing, CEEQ Design can help with CAD before printing. A photo alone is not a production-ready model.
How do I choose the right material?
Choose for the intended use: appearance, flexibility, temperature and outdoor exposure can all matter. Read the materials guide before ordering. A material choice does not by itself validate fit, strength or suitability.
How quickly will my print arrive?
Most Standard orders are dispatched within 2 working days (4 at the latest), then Royal Mail adds 1 to 3 days. Hark Tech is a mail-in workshop in Basingstoke serving the whole UK by post; there is no walk-in counter.
