A single-hose portable air conditioner fights itself: it pushes room air outside and sucks warm air back in through every gap. This printed intake shroud clips over the SMK 7000 B2’s lower rectangular intake and turns it into a round hose connector, so the unit can draw outside air through a second hose instead of stealing it from the room. We hold the file, print to order and post it tracked across the UK.

A single hose blows your cooled indoor air outside. That air has to be replaced, so warm outdoor air is pulled in through gaps around doors and windows. You are cooling air just to throw it away.
Because warm air keeps leaking back in, the unit runs longer to hold the same temperature. On the hottest days, when you need it most, a single-hose unit can struggle to keep up.
A second hose feeds the condenser with outdoor air instead of room air, so the room stays sealed and cools faster. It is the same principle used by higher-end portable units that ship dual-hose from the factory.
One printed part, designed specifically for the Lidl Silvercrest SMK 7000 B2.
Covers the lower rectangular air intake on the back of the unit and converts it into a round connector for a standard portable-AC hose. Use it for a full dual-hose conversion, or simply to duct cooler outside air to the condenser.
Approx. 200 g printed · no supports neededYou supply one standard portable-AC exhaust hose for the new intake. Not sure which hose fits? Message us before ordering and we will point you to the right one.
The designer’s own recommendation for this part. Tougher than PLA and happy next to the warm side of the unit.
Cheapest, but it can soften in sustained heat and direct sun, so we do not recommend it if the unit runs hard all summer.
The most heat and UV resistant option, printed on request. Pick this if the unit sits in a conservatory or strong direct sunlight.

A single-hose portable air conditioner pulls air from inside the room to cool its condenser, then blows that air outside. That creates negative pressure indoors, so warm unconditioned air gets sucked back in through gaps around doors and windows. A dual-hose setup gives the condenser its own outdoor air supply, so it does not depressurise the room. The result is faster, more efficient cooling, especially on hot days.
The adapter is designed specifically for the Silvercrest SMK 7000 B2, the portable air conditioner Lidl sells in the UK. It covers the lower rectangular air intake on the back of the unit. If you have a different Silvercrest model or another brand, get in touch and we will check, or see our adapters for other air con brands.
You supply one standard portable-AC exhaust hose for the new intake, which is a cheap and widely available part. Everything printed is included. If you are unsure which hose fits, message us before ordering and we will point you to the right one.
We recommend PETG, which is also what the designer suggests for this part. It handles the warm side of the unit better than PLA and costs only a little more. ASA is the most heat and UV resistant option if the unit sits in strong sun. PLA is the budget choice for a shaded room used occasionally.
